LP&L Demolition Services for Brandon Generating Station

Background

Lubbock Power & Light (LP&L) is seeking proposals for demolition services at the Brandon Generating Station. The goal of this contract is to furnish all labor and materials necessary for the demolition project, ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards. The expected award date for this contract is August 18, 2026, with an estimated project cost of $200,000.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the complete demolition of structures at the Brandon Generating Station. This includes: 1. Removal of all debris and hazardous materials in accordance with environmental regulations. 2. Proper disposal of materials as per local waste management guidelines. 3. Ensuring site safety by erecting barricades and providing necessary safety equipment for workers. 4. Conducting site inspections and maintaining compliance with LP&L's safety protocols throughout the duration of the project.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to be substantially completed within 45 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed by LP&L.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at the Brandon Generating Station located in Lubbock, Texas.

Bidder Requirements

Offerors must provide a performance bond in accordance with Chapter 2253 of the Government Code if the contract price exceeds $100,000, and a payment bond if it exceeds $50,000. A proposal bond or cashier's check for at least 5% of the total proposal amount must also be submitted as a guarantee that the Offeror will enter into a contract upon award.
