Ketchup Supply or Procurement

Background

The Oregon Department of Corrections (ODOC) is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the procurement of Tomato Ketchup. The purpose of this solicitation is to acquire goods that will be delivered to ODOC’s Central Distribution Center located in Salem, Oregon. This procurement is conducted under the authority of ORS 421.438 and OAR 291-164-0120.

Work Details

The contract requires the delivery of 952 cases of Tomato Ketchup, which must meet specific quality standards including being Grade C or better, unflavored, and prepared from sound, mature red tomatoes. The ketchup must have a minimum of 25% solids and can be packaged in either cans or pouches. The delivery must conform to all federal and state regulations regarding food safety and labeling. All goods must be palletized, with each pallet not exceeding 2,500 pounds. The first delivery is expected within 45 days after receipt of order.

Period of Performance

The contract's performance period will commence upon issuance of a Purchase Order.

Place of Performance

Goods are to be delivered to the Oregon Department of Corrections’ Central Distribution Center located at 3601 State Street, Salem, OR 97301.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all applicable tax laws in Oregon and provide proof of compliance. Additionally, bidders may qualify for a preference if their goods are fabricated or processed entirely in Oregon or if they are resident bidders headquartered in Oregon. Bidders must also provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance within seven days from the time of contract award.
