Primary Latest Change

Southeastern Power Administration (SEPA) is excited to announce the release of a Request for Information (RFI) as part of our ongoing effort to gather market research and identify qualified vendors for financial audit services related to the Southeastern Federal Power Program. We are specifically seeking input from firms who have both the experience and expertise to conduct an independent financial audit that meets all applicable federal standards and requirements. At this stage, the RFI is solely for information gathering and market research purposes. Please note that it does not represent a solicitation or a commitment by the Government to pursue a future contract. We strongly encourage interested vendors to carefully review the attached RFI and respond with the requested information by the date specified. Your input will be invaluable in helping SEPA better understand industry capabilities, available solutions, and potential acquisition strategies. Once the RFI submission deadline has passed (June 22nd 12pm Eastern), we will reach out to schedule conferences with interested vendors. Please see the attached RFI for more in depth details Thank you for your time and participation. We truly appreciate your engagement and look forward to receiving your response.

The goal of this Request for Information (RFI) is to find firms with the necessary experience and expertise to conduct an independent financial audit that adheres to all applicable federal standards and requirements. This RFI is part of SEPA's ongoing efforts to understand industry capabilities and potential acquisition strategies. Work Details The selected vendor will be responsible for conducting a financial audit of the Southeastern Federal Power Program (SeFPP) combined financial statements for fiscal year 2026. The SeFPP includes relevant portions from both the Department of Energy and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The audit must ensure compliance with federal standards, and the vendor should have experience in auditing similar governmental programs. Responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and preparing documentation for submission to the Office of Financial Control and Reporting. Period of Performance Fiscal Year 2026 Place of Performance Elberton, GA Bidder Requirements Bidders must demonstrate prior experience in conducting independent financial audits for governmental entities or similar organizations. Relevant certifications or licenses in accounting or auditing are required, along with any necessary security clearances pertinent to handling federal financial data. Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail) This RFI appears to have a confirmed incumbent based on prior financial audit work for the same program, with KPMG identified as the awardee under contract GS00F275CA-89503521FSP400059 valued at $1,358,000 (08/26/21–04/30/26).
