Background

The City of Holly Springs is issuing a Request for Bid (RFB #2026-03) for the complete demolition of a building located at 208 Cedar Valley Court, Holly Springs, GA. The project aims to safely remove and dispose of the structure and associated items in compliance with local regulations.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the complete demolition and disposal of an approximately 1908 square foot building with two floors. This includes the removal of a concrete driveway, conducting asbestos surveys, and managing septic tanks. All other items at the site must also be addressed. Importantly, no trees are to be removed from the site unless necessary to remove the fence behind the house.

Period of Performance

The time allowed for Substantial Completion is 30 consecutive days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed, which is anticipated to be issued in August 2026.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a Bid Bond equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total contract amount or provide a certified check or cash in that amount. The successful bidder is required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond for 100% of the contract amount. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-6 or greater and be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department.
