Summary: Background This solicitation is issued by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for the performance of directional boring and trenching, and installation of underground conduit at the NOAA West Bank NWLON tide station located in Bayou Gauche, LA. The goal of this contract is to facilitate the installation of electrical wiring from a water level monitoring station to a new meteorological system location. This acquisition is set aside for small business concerns. Work Details The contractor will provide all necessary services, personnel, and equipment to perform directional boring or trenching beneath Louisiana Highway 306 (Bayou Gauche Road) at specified coordinates. The work includes installing a 2-inch diameter conduit to run electrical wiring from the NOAA water level monitoring station to a location approximately 200 feet north on the opposite side of the highway. The conduit will pass through an empty grass lot owned by the Bayou Gauche Fire Department. The contractor is responsible for obtaining necessary permits and locating any underground utilities prior to excavation. They must also refill the trench after installation and provide appropriate conduit access boxes at both ends of the run. A pull line will be placed inside the conduit to facilitate future wiring installation by NOAA. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed beneath Louisiana Highway 306 (Bayou Gauche Road) at coordinates 29°47'19.1" N, 90°25'12.1" W.
