Sewer Line Repair at Abramson Sci Academy

Background

The Orleans Parish School Board (OPSB) is seeking bids for the sewer line repair project at Abramson Sci Academy, located at 5552 Read Blvd, New Orleans, LA. The goal of this contract is to address necessary repairs to the sewer line infrastructure at the academy, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with local regulations.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the sewer line repair project, which includes but is not limited to: excavation of existing sewer lines, replacement of damaged sections, installation of new piping as required, backfilling and compacting the excavated areas, and restoration of any disturbed surfaces. The contractor must ensure that all work complies with local building codes and standards. The successful bidder will also be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the bidding documents. Bids are due by June 17, 2026.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2163 for the classification of Building Construction. All bids must include bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount in an acceptable form. Additionally, bidders are required to comply with provisions outlined in LA R.S. 38:2212 (A)(1)(a).
