Background

The Louisiana Department of Public Safety is issuing this solicitation to establish a Blanket Order Contract for the provision of propane. The contract aims to ensure a reliable supply of propane for the Fire and Emergency Training Academy located in Baton Rouge, LA. This initiative supports the agency's mission to provide essential training and services related to public safety.

Work Details

The contractor will furnish and maintain fifteen 1,000-gallon LPG tanks and two 500-gallon LPG tanks at the Fire and Emergency Training Academy. The supplier must be capable of delivering LPG fuel within a 12-hour period upon request or provide monitoring services with a delivery timeframe not exceeding 24 hours. Minor repairs on-site are permitted; if repairs cannot be made, the vendor must replace the tank at no charge. The supplier must have the LPG tanks ready for use one week after contract award. The estimated quantity for propane is 100,000 gallons, with deliveries made as needed based on agency demand.

Period of Performance

The initial contract period is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, with options for two additional 12-month renewals, totaling a maximum of 36 months.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered in the LaGov system to submit an online bid. They are required to include a W-9 form if newly registered. Compliance with federal and state laws regarding civil rights and disabilities is mandatory. Bidders must also certify that they are not suspended or debarred by the GSA.
