The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is soliciting bids for incidental concrete repair work within its Northern Virginia Infrastructure Section. This contract aims to provide necessary labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and traffic control to maintain and repair various concrete structures across Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William Counties. The goal is to ensure the integrity and safety of the infrastructure in these areas.
The contractor will provide all necessary concrete, labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, accessories, traffic control, and incidentals required for the demolition, excavation, repair, installation, and maintenance of various concrete structures. Specific tasks include: - Installing and replacing curb and gutter; - Installing and replacing sidewalks including handicap ramps; - Repairing paved ditches; - Maintaining concrete aprons; - Constructing drop inlets; - Building barrier walls; - Creating energy dissipaters; - Paving flumes; - Backfilling and seeding adjacent soils; - Removing debris from the work site. All work must be performed within existing VDOT Right-of-Way. The contractor must possess a Class 'A' Contractor's license from the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR). Work will be conducted on an on-call basis as needed.
The contract will last for one year from the date of award with up to four successive one-year renewal options.
