Background The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is issuing a sole source contract to ProAmpac, located at 12025 Tricon Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45246, for the acquisition of evidence bags. This contract is essential for securing and preserving evidence, ensuring chain of custody integrity, and maintaining compliance with DEA protocols. The decision to pursue a sole source award is based on the unique qualifications of ProAmpac's products, which have been determined to be superior in quality compared to other vendors. Work Details The contract involves the procurement of DEA Custom Self-Sealing Evidence Bags. These bags are critical for properly securing and preserving evidence. The specifications include: - Custom self-sealing design - Rigid and durable material that completely seals - Capability to withstand DEA's evidence processing - Durable enough to reseal using a heat-sealing device. Market research indicated that ProAmpac's bags were more rigid and durable than those from other suppliers, addressing concerns about seal gaps and material durability during evidence processing. Period of Performance Final delivery date is set for August 1, 2026. Place of Performance The products will be delivered to locations as specified by the DEA.
