Background

The California Military Department (CMD) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 128815 for the Multi-Site Fan Installation Project. This project aims to enhance the ventilation systems at multiple armory locations in California, including Burbank, Inglewood, Manhattan Beach, and Ventura. It involves the installation of new Destratification Fan Systems to improve air circulation in drill floor areas. Work Details

The contractor is required to provide all necessary materials, labor, bonds, licenses, insurance, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to furnish and install new Destratification Fan Systems in the drill floor areas across the specified locations. The work must comply with all terms and conditions outlined in this IFB. The contractor must possess a C-20 - Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB). All work must be completed within 365 calendar days from the start date.

Period of Performance

The contract work must be completed within 365 calendar days from the commencement date as specified in the contract.

Place of Performance

The installation will take place at multiple armory locations in California: Burbank, Inglewood, Manhattan Beach, and Ventura.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed to do business in California and possess a valid C-20 license. They are required to attend mandatory pre-bid job walks at designated locations on specified dates. Bidders must also comply with DVBE participation goals of 5% and Small Business (SB) participation goals of 25%. All bids must include required attachments such as Bid/Bidder Certification Sheet and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Declarations. Additionally, bidders must submit a bid bond if their bid exceeds $24,999.99.
