Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for Integrated Pest Management Services to support the Veterans Affairs Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS) and its Community Based Outreach Clinics (CBOCs). The goal of this contract is to provide environmentally friendly pest control services that align with the VA's commitment to health and safety, while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations. Work Details The contractor will provide comprehensive Integrated Pest Management (IPM) services, which include: - Conducting inspections to determine appropriate pest management measures. - Performing bi-weekly fly light and glue trap inspections, maintaining all fly lights, including annual bulb replacements. - Monthly inspections and treatments for both interior and exterior traps. - Monthly perimeter spraying and treatment of flowerbeds as needed. - Implementing environmental sanitation practices to restrict pest access to food, water, or harborage. - Utilizing non-chemical methods such as traps and exclusion techniques alongside least-toxic pesticides when necessary. - Controlling various pests including structural arthropods (cockroaches, ants), stored product pests (grain moths), rodents (mice, rats), birds (pigeons), wood-destroying organisms (termites), aquatic pests (mosquito larvae), and more. - Cleaning up after pest control work and disposing of hazardous waste according to regulations. - Providing training for VA staff on pest management policies. - Documenting all IPM services performed during work shifts in written reports, including weekly summaries and monthly chemical usage reports. Period of Performance The contract will have a base period from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, with four optional renewal years extending through June 30, 2031. Place of Performance Services will be performed at the VA Central California Health Care System located at 2615 E. Clinton Ave., Fresno, CA 93703, as well as various CBOCs in Merced County, Madera County, Tulare County, and Fresno County.
