Locally Grown Specialty Produce

Background

Tucson Unified School District is a diverse public school district located in Tucson, Arizona. The District is seeking to enter into a contract with produce distributor(s) to provide fresh, locally grown specialty produce defined as locally grown within the state of Arizona and including the USDA definition of Specialty Crop. The goal of this contract is to fulfill the nutritional needs of a menu while being associated with organized educational activities.

Work Details

The selected vendor(s) will provide fresh, locally grown specialty produce sourced exclusively from Arizona farms. Vendors must supply additional information about the farms, including their location, years in business, other products grown, and harvest and season information. Deliveries will be made to the Food Services Central Warehouse only. The contract is intended to be a multi-term agreement starting from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with potential for extension for one additional year if conditions are met and funding is available.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and continue through June 30, 2027. It may be extended for one additional year based on performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed within the state of Arizona, specifically delivering produce to the Tucson Unified School District's Food Services Central Warehouse.
