Background The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking contractors to provide tree and brush removal services for District 9. The goal of this contract is to maintain public safety and enhance the aesthetics of the area by effectively managing tree and brush growth. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following services: 1. Removal of dead, dying, diseased, decayed, or obstructing trees and brush. 2. Pruning of trees to improve health and structure, including fine pruning, standard pruning, hazard pruning, and crown reduction as per the National Arborist Association standards. 3. All cuts must be made close to the trunk without damaging the branch collar. 4. All cut limbs must be removed from the site upon completion of work. 5. Workers must be qualified and insured, with appropriate coverage for workers' compensation and liability. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a period of one year from the date of award, with options for renewal based on performance. Place of Performance The services will be performed in District 9 of Kentucky, which includes various municipalities as specified in the solicitation.
