Background The City of Phoenix, Arizona, through its Office of the City Engineer, is seeking qualifications from up to three qualified consultants to provide construction administration and inspection on-call services for the Water Distribution Small Diameter Asset Repair and Replacement Job Order Contract Program. This initiative aims to enhance the city's water distribution infrastructure by ensuring timely repairs and replacements of small diameter assets. Work Details The selected consulting teams will perform various tasks including: - Overseeing water main repairs (12-inch and smaller) - Removing and replacing water valves and air-relief valves (12-inch and smaller) - Assessing repair needs - Installing new water service lines (3/4 to 6-inch) - Preparing job sites for repairs - Backfilling, compacting, restoring landscaping - Overseeing temporary and/or final street pavement and other infrastructure repairs as requested by the Distribution Division of the Water Services Department. Period of Performance The contract is expected to commence on October 1, 2026. Place of Performance Work will primarily be conducted within the city limits of Phoenix but may extend to nearby areas serviced by the City of Phoenix water system. Bidder Requirements Consultants must demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in distribution water infrastructure. They should be familiar with MAG Specifications and Details as well as the City of Phoenix Supplement to MAG Specifications. On-site inspectors must hold at least an ADEQ Water Distribution Grade 2 certification and a Confined Space Entry certification.
