Summary: Background The Albany Field Office (AFO) is seeking to contract for annual periodic crane inspection services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and compliance of various cranes used within the facility, adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations as well as industry standards. The contractor will be responsible for providing qualified personnel to conduct these inspections. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for comprehensive annual periodic inspections of the following cranes: 1. Overhead gantry cranes within buildings. 2. Mounted jib cranes. 3. A mobile crane. Specific requirements include: - Inspecting all components of the cranes and identifying deficiencies according to applicable laws and standards. - Providing certified and qualified inspectors with proven experience in ASME and OSHA crane standards. - Delivering a written report and certificate of inspection for each crane that passes inspection within 30 days following the inspection. - Ensuring that all inspections meet or exceed industry standards including compliance with 29 CFR 1910.179, 29 CFR 1910.180, ASME B30 series standards, and Army Corps of Engineers EM. 385-1-1 regulations. Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the contract will be performed (if provided) Place of Performance All equipment will be located at 1 Bond Street, Troy, NY unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide certified inspectors with proven experience in crane inspections according to ASME and OSHA standards. Certifications for inspectors must be submitted no later than two weeks prior to performing any inspections.
