Drain and Sewer Cleaning and Inspection Service

Background

The State University of New York at Buffalo, referred to as 'the University,' is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for comprehensive drain and sewer cleaning, inspection, and related maintenance services. The University is the largest campus in the 64-campus State University of New York system, dedicated to academic excellence and research. This contract aims to support the University's water, storm, and sanitary sewer systems across its North, South, and Downtown campuses.

Work Details

The services required under this contract include: - High pressure sewer line cleaning - Explosion proof video pipe inspection - Industrial vacuuming - High pressure cleaning - Grease trap cleaning for industrial/commercial-size lines located on the University at Buffalo campuses. The contractor must provide equipment capable of producing high pressure water jets up to 10,000 psi and vacuum vehicles operating at 28 inches of vacuum. Services must be available 24/7 with a response time of three hours for emergencies. The contractor is responsible for proper waste disposal and must provide detailed documentation of inspections.

Period of Performance

The contract will be executed for a period of five years from the date of award.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at all University-owned and affiliated facilities located on the North, South, and Downtown campuses of the University at Buffalo.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must demonstrate relevant experience in commercial drain maintenance and possess specialized equipment such as hydro jetting systems and CCTV technology. They must ensure all technicians are trained in safety procedures including OSHA compliance and provide a structured emergency response plan. Additionally, bidders must comply with M/WBE goals (MBE Goal: 15.90%, WBE Goal: 14.10%) and SDVOB goals (SDVOB Goal: 6.00%).
