Background

The State of California, through its Department of General Services (DGS), Facilities Management Division (FMD), is responsible for managing, maintaining, and operating state buildings and grounds statewide. This contract aims to procure services for Legionella sample collection, laboratory testing and analysis, remediation, and reporting on state property to ensure the safety and compliance of water systems within these facilities.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for Legionella sample collection, laboratory testing and analysis, remediation, and reporting services. Specific tasks include: - On-site sampling for Legionella from various fixtures within state buildings. - Laboratory testing including ISO 11731: Water quality - Enumeration of Legionella. - Submission of samples using a Chain of Custody Form provided by the contractor. - Final report generation detailing test results and recommendations for remediation if necessary. - Emergency services must be provided upon request within two hours. The contractor must ensure that all personnel involved are certified according to the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) standards.

Period of Performance

The anticipated term of the contract is three (3) years from the date of execution and approval.

Services will be performed statewide across various regions including Northern Region, Bay Region, and Southern Region as specified in the service locations list.
