Background

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is seeking quotes from vendors to provide custodial services for the Robert Vroman Public Works Facility located in Palmer, Alaska. The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and safe environment for the facility, supporting the Borough's mission of providing quality public services.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all labor, supervision, tools, and equipment necessary to perform custodial services for the two floors of the Robert Vroman Public Works Facility, approximately 3,200 square feet. Services include: - Daily cleaning of offices and public areas: emptying trash cans, spot cleaning walls and windowsills, cleaning kitchen areas, sanitizing light switches and door handles, sweeping and mopping hard floors, vacuuming carpets, ensuring windows and doors are locked. - Weekly tasks: cleaning inside microwaves on Fridays. - Daily restroom maintenance: cleaning sinks, toilets, urinals, counters; cleaning mirrors; refilling soap dispensers; emptying trash; sweeping and mopping. - Weekly restroom tasks: putting water down floor drains and cleaning showers on Wednesdays. - Daily maintenance of hallways and stairwells: sweeping and mopping or vacuuming as needed. The contractor must also maintain a schedule of man-hours and employee numbers required for the work.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence on July 1, 2026, and conclude on June 30, 2027. There is an option to extend the agreement for two additional one-year periods by mutual written consent.

Place of Performance

The custodial services will be performed at the Robert Vroman Public Works Facility located at 1420 South Industrial Way, Palmer, Alaska 99645.
