Background

The National Fitness Campaign (NFC) is a wellness consulting firm that collaborates with public and private organizations to promote healthy communities across America. The NFC initiative includes a trademarked outdoor fitness product known as the Fitness Court®, designed to provide accessible fitness solutions in public spaces. This procurement is justified as a sole source due to the unique nature of the Fitness Court® and its associated services, which are exclusively available through NFC.

Work Details

The contract involves the design and installation of a Fitness Court® at a total cost of $230,000, which includes an $80,000 grant from NFC towards equipment purchase and construction. The Fitness Court® is an outdoor bodyweight circuit training center featuring over 118 unique elements that accommodate 28 users simultaneously within a 32'x32' area. The installation also includes a Fitness Court Studio, providing an additional 1024 sq ft of space for group activities like yoga and dance. Unique features include: 1. A custom public art mural integrated into the design, making each installation unique. 2. A digital engagement wall with QR codes for accessing workout resources and tracking usage. 3. Proprietary training programs developed by Mark Lauren, available exclusively through the Fitness Court® App.

Period of Performance

The contract will be executed upon approval and funding allocation, with specific timelines for installation to be determined based on project requirements.

Place of Performance

The installation will take place in Dona Ana County, NM, specifically at a publicly accessible location that is highly visible and connected to pedestrian infrastructure.
