Arlington Neighborhood Streetscape Improv. Phase 1A

Background

The City of Methuen, MA is issuing a contract for the Arlington Neighborhood Streetscape Improvements Phase 1A project. The goal of this contract is to enhance the neighborhood's infrastructure through roadway reconstruction and improvements to pedestrian accessibility, aligning with the city's mission to improve community safety and mobility.

Work Details

The contract includes the following work: roadway reconstruction, installation of sidewalks, driveways, curbs, accessible pedestrian curb ramps, and street markings. Additionally, there is an Alternate A option for bidders to substitute concrete sidewalks for hot mix asphalt sidewalks. All materials and equipment necessary for the completion of these tasks are included in the scope of work.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to be substantially complete by November 20, 2026, with final payment readiness by April 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

The project will be performed in Methuen, Massachusetts.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M regarding bidding procedures. Prevailing wage rates as issued by the Director of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D apply to this project. Bids must include a bid security amounting to 5% of the total bid.
