Background

The Office of Local and Regional Health (OLRH) is seeking to support municipalities hosting public viewing or fan-based community events for the FIFA 2026 World Cup. The goal is to provide one-time funding to enhance local public health efforts during these events, ensuring that necessary health services and supplies are available to the public.

Work Details

Municipalities hosting FIFA 2026 World Cup events can apply for funding up to $15,000 per event for various allowable expenses related to local public health staffing and resources. Allowable expenses include: - Local public health staffing beyond existing levels (e.g., overtime or consultants) - Condoms - Aloe vera lotion/cream - Rental of handwashing stations - Cooling/misting tents - Contracted inspectors for food safety - Translation services. Municipalities may propose additional expenses with justification, subject to OLRH approval. All costs must be related to FIFA community events.

Period of Performance

The anticipated duration of the engagement is up to 3 months, with all funds required to be expended by July 31, 2026. The final end date for the engagement is September 30, 2026.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed in municipalities hosting FIFA 2026 World Cup events, specifically in locations where public viewing or fan-based community events are organized.

Eligible municipalities must be qualified vendors on Master Service Agreement #236938 - Public Health Services at the Local and Regional Level.
