Background

The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) Number 26C875002 for Roof Maintenance Services at the CHP Mountain Pass, Joint Point of Entry, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility (CVEF). The CHP's mission is to ensure the safety and security of California's highways and to provide high-quality service to the public. Work Details

The contractor will provide comprehensive Roof Maintenance Services as outlined in Exhibit A, 'Scope of Work'. This includes inspection, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems to prevent leaks and damage. Specific tasks may include cleaning gutters, sealing joints, replacing damaged shingles or tiles, and ensuring proper drainage. The contractor must adhere to all relevant safety regulations and standards during service delivery.

Period of Performance

The contract is expected to commence on January 1, 2027, and will run through December 31, 2029. The term may be extended based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Services will be performed at the CHP Mountain Pass facility located at 100779 Bear Road, Nipton, CA 92364.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess a valid Contractors State License Board (CSLB) C-39 Roofing Contractor license and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Corporations must certify they are in good standing in California. Non-profit organizations must provide proof of their status. Bidders must demonstrate a history of sound business integrity and responsiveness to past contractual obligations. Proof of liability insurance meeting specified requirements must be provided before contract execution.
