The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) 02A2483 for Security Alarm Monitoring, Maintenance, and Repair Services in Shasta County. The purpose of this contract is to ensure the safety and security of various alarm and access control systems, as well as security camera installations across multiple Caltrans facilities. Work Details

The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, travel, permits, certificates, and incidentals necessary to perform alarm monitoring, maintenance, and repair services for various alarm and access control systems. Specific tasks include: 1. Alarm monitoring 24/7 for fire alarm systems, passenger elevator systems with emergency phone lines, freight elevator systems with emergency phone lines, and burglar alarms at the Main Building (1657 Riverside Drive), East Annex (1000 Center Street), West Venture Building (1031 Butte Street), and other specified locations in Redding. 2. Installation of two new LTS Pro-X LXIP7582W-28SD dome cameras and junction boxes at designated locations. 3. Routine service requests on all systems at all locations listed in the scope of work. 4. Non-routine service requests as needed.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on January 1, 2027 (estimated) or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later. The agreement will expire on December 31, 2029 (estimated). Routine services will be provided during normal business hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding State holidays.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various Caltrans District 02 locations in Redding, CA including: - Main Building at 1657 Riverside Drive; - East Annex at 1000 Center Street; - Equipment Shop at 1430 George Drive; - Redding Maintenance Station at 1450 George Drive; - Region Support Maintenance Office at 1490 George Drive; - Special Crews Office at 5065 Mountain Lakes Blvd.; - West Venture Building at 1031 Butte Street.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess a current C-10 Electrical Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB) and an Alarm Company Operator (ACO) license issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs. Bidders must also be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). A minimum of twenty-five percent (25%) of the net bid price must be subcontracted to certified Small Businesses or Micro Businesses if applicable.
