Work Details

The selected contractor will provide a range of hazardous waste management services including: characterization, collection for removal, transportation, processing, reporting, recycling, and disposal of hazardous waste. The contractor must furnish all necessary labor, equipment, containers, labeling, packing materials, and other supplies for proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. All services must comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. The contractor is also responsible for ensuring that all vehicles used are properly registered and permitted for transporting hazardous waste. Additionally, the contractor must maintain all required licenses and permits throughout the contract duration.

Period of Performance

The contract will be for three (3) years with the possibility of up to three (3) one-year extensions. Services are to be provided on an as-needed basis throughout the fiscal year.

Services will be performed at the Corporation Yard located at 1949 Pacific Blvd, San Mateo, CA 94403.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have sufficient resources including trained personnel and specialized equipment/software to perform the work. They must also comply with labor/wage laws as set out in Appendix B of the RFP. Insurance requirements include Commercial General Liability with limits no less than $2 million per occurrence and other specified coverages.
