The St. Johns River Water Management District (the 'District') is responsible for managing and protecting water resources within its 18-county jurisdiction in northeast and east central Florida. The District seeks to contract with up to five geotechnical engineering firms to provide professional services that support the planning, design, construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of soil-supported infrastructure and water management projects.
The selected firms will provide a range of geotechnical engineering services including: 1. Subsurface Investigation and Field Testing Services: - Standard Penetration Test (SPT) borings - Hollow-stem auger borings - Recovery of thin-walled tube samples - Groundwater level measurement and monitoring - Field permeability testing 2. Geotechnical Engineering Analyses: - Settlement analyses - Allowable soil bearing pressures - Slope stability analyses 3. Construction Observation and Materials Testing: - Earthwork observation - Compaction verification and field density testing 4. Pavement Evaluation and Rehabilitation Support: - Soil bearing characterization for pavement design 5. Geotechnical Peer Review Services: - Review of subsurface investigation reports and foundation recommendations. All services will be authorized through individual Work Orders which will not exceed $100,000 each.
The contract will have an initial term of three years with an option for one two-year renewal term.
Services will be performed within the jurisdiction of the St. Johns River Water Management District in northeast and east central Florida.
Respondents must be Florida professional engineers or qualified engineering corporations holding a current license from the Florida Board of Professional Engineers. They must have completed at least three similar projects in the past five years, with two located in Florida, each valued at no less than $25,000.
