Management and Programming of Westbrook Community Center

Background

The City of Jacksonville is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to manage and provide programming for the Westbrook Community Center located at 905 Garfield Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32209. The goal of this contract is to enhance community engagement and provide services that reflect the needs of the local population. The programming should focus on education, arts, health, wellness, and athletic activities for all ages, particularly youth.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for managing the Westbrook Community Center and providing various programming services that may include education, music, arts, social services, health and wellness initiatives, nutrition programs, and athletic activities. Programming for youth should aim to mentor individuals from diverse backgrounds while enhancing self-esteem and developing teamwork and leadership skills. The contractor must ensure access to these programs for residents of Duval County and prioritize community needs in their offerings. Additionally, the contractor will be responsible for maintaining the facility in an 'as-is' condition which includes regular cleaning and minor repairs.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and is expected to last for a specified term as outlined in the final agreement.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have at least two years of experience in providing similar programming services. They must also be a legally authorized entity to operate as a non-profit organization (501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4)) in Florida. Proof of business licenses and compliance with local regulations is required. Contractors must provide a financial statement demonstrating their ability to manage long-term operations.
