Water Main Installation and Replacement on Easton Court and Edgemoor Avenue

Background

The Town of Wellesley, Massachusetts, is seeking bids for the Edgemoor Avenue and Eaton Court Water Main Rehabilitation project. The goal of this contract is to enhance the water infrastructure by replacing outdated pipes and installing new water mains to ensure reliable service for the community.

Work Details

The project involves the installation and replacement of water mains as follows: - Installation of approximately 900 linear feet of 6-inch water main on Eaton Court from Washington Street (Rt. 16) to Maugus Avenue. This includes the replacement of approximately 550 linear feet of existing 6-inch and 2-inch cast iron (CI) pipe off Washington Street and approximately 200 linear feet of 2-inch CI pipe off Maugus Avenue. - Replacement of approximately 2,700 linear feet of 6-inch water main on Edgemoor Avenue.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to be partially substantially complete within 115 calendar days after the contract time commences, with final completion and readiness for payment within 275 calendar days after commencement.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in Wellesley, Massachusetts, specifically on Eaton Court and Edgemoor Avenue.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a bid security amounting to 5 percent of their bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with an acceptable surety company. Additionally, minimum wage rates as determined by the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development apply to this project.
