TRD02 Asphalt Paving Taunton State Hospital Circle Driveway Cottage 9

Background

The Department of Mental Health Southeast Area is issuing this contract for the installation of asphalt paving at Taunton State Hospital, specifically for the Circle Driveway at Cottage 9. The goal of this contract is to ensure the completion of necessary paving work to maintain and improve the facility's infrastructure.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: - Install Binder Course on Circle Driveway at Cottage 9, with a length of 455 square yards and a width of 19 feet. - Sawcut match points and remove & dispose of existing asphalt. - Grade current recycled asphalt. - Install leveling course binder (2.5 inches). - All labor must adhere to prevailing wage rates as applicable. - The contractor must obtain necessary permits without additional costs and provide copies to the Maintenance Department. - Notify Dig Safe before starting work and inform the Facilities Department.

Period of Performance

The contract is a one-time purchase and installation project that must be completed by June 30, 2026, with a planned start date of June 15, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Taunton State Hospital, located at 60 Hodges Ave, Taunton, MA.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with prevailing wage requirements and are required to submit a bid quote using the provided Bid Sheet. A mandatory site visit is required prior to bidding on June 4, 2026. Contractors must also be OSHA certified.
