Summary (Newest Update)

Background The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is seeking to procure two (2) DxH 500 Hematology Analyzers to facilitate standardized hematology testing that supports NIH protocols and PET radioligand program objectives. The goal is to enable rapid safety monitoring and improve study execution, data quality, and operational quality. Work Details The contract involves the supply of two DxH 500 Hematology Analyzers (Item Number: B40601). The analyzers must provide reliable, rapid on-site hematology testing with the following capabilities: - Enable on-demand complete blood count (CBC) testing and associated differentials/indices. - Support safety monitoring and eligibility assessments for PET radioligand development workflows. - Reduce turnaround time and logistical risks associated with off-site testing. - Improve data quality by standardizing hematology measurements under controlled procedures. Salient characteristics include: - 5-part differential CBC capability. - Automated hematology testing including WBC, RBC, HGB, HCT, RBC indices, platelet parameters, and differential counts/percentages. - Throughput of at least 60 samples per hour. - Low sample volume requirement (~12 µL) for micro-collection workflows. - Features to maximize uptime and reduce operator burden, including built-in reliability and automatic start-up functions. - Simplified reagent management with three reagents for efficient replacement and tracking. - Touchscreen user interface with barcode capability for specimen identification and connectivity. Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the product will be delivered to or performed at. Place of Performance Delivery is to be made to the National Institutes of Health located at 6100 Executive Blvd., Room 6B05, Bethesda, MD 20892-7511. Bidder Requirements Bidders must ensure that the analyzers meet all specified salient characteristics. There are no specific manufacturer or reseller authorizations mentioned; however, compliance with domestic sourcing requirements is implied.
