The 502 Contracting Squadron, JBSA Randolph Air Force Base, is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for rental of the Brand Name Ortho VITROS XT 3400 CHEMISTRY ANALYZER System and purchase of the reagents for this chemistry analyzer system. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 334516. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this marketsurvey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide the commodity consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated. Background The 502 Contracting Squadron at JBSA Randolph Air Force Base is conducting market research to identify parties interested in supporting the requirement for the rental of the Ortho VITROS® XT 3400 CHEMISTRY ANALYZER System and the purchase of reagents for this system. This research will help determine the procurement method. Work Details The contractor shall provide a comprehensive reagent rental/lease agreement for one new Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics VITROS® XT 3400 Chemistry System, including: - Equipment: Provide, deliver, and install one VITROS® XT 3400 Chemistry Analyzer in operational condition at a designated location. - Reagents and Consumables: Supply all necessary reagents, calibrators, controls, and consumables for canine specimen testing. - Maintenance and Repair: Offer full-service maintenance with at least one preventative maintenance visit annually, a 24/7 technical support hotline, and on-site technician response within two business days. - Training: Provide initial training for government personnel including Key Operator training for two individuals and General Operator training for six staff members. - Quality Control: Maintain a Quality Control Plan ensuring compliance with PWS requirements. - Quality Assurance: Performance will be monitored by a designated representative to ensure adherence to the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan. Period of Performance One Base Year with four one-year Option Periods. Place of Performance Holland Veterinary Hospital, JBSA Lackland. Bidder Requirements Contractor personnel must be factory-trained and certified by Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of the VITROS® XT 3400 Chemistry System.
