Background

The City of Dublin is issuing this solicitation for the procurement of water treatment chemicals necessary for the operation of its Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants. The goal is to ensure the provision of essential chemicals that meet regulatory standards for water treatment processes, thereby supporting the city's mission to provide safe and clean drinking water to its residents.

Work Details

The contract includes the supply of the following water treatment chemicals: 1. Liquid Chlorine in One-Ton Containers: 10-20 tons/year. 2. Liquid Chlorine in 150# Cylinders: 60-80 per year. 3. Hydrofluorosilicic Acid (HFS): Delivered in portable totes as needed. 4. Potassium Permanganate: Delivered in 55# pails as needed. All chemicals must meet NSF 60 Standard certification and AWWA approval. Specific requirements include: - Liquid Chlorine must be a yellowish-green liquid with a pungent odor, CAS #: 7782-50-5. - Hydrofluorosilicic Acid must have a chemical analysis guaranteeing specific ranges for H2SiF6, F, HF, Fe, P, As, I, Pb, and heavy metals. - Potassium Permanganate must be free-flowing with a guaranteed assay of 97% KmnO4 and specific particle size requirements.

Period of Performance

The contract period will be from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

The delivery locations include: - Water Plant facilities at 106 Parker’s Dairy Rd. and Ground Water Plant at 200 Truxton St. - Wastewater Treatment Plant facility located at 250 Riverview Drive.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a W-9 form with their bid submission. All bidders must be recognized and authorized dealers in the materials specified and capable of providing samples upon request prior to award. Bids should comply with all specifications outlined in the invitation to bid.
