On-Call Property Appraisal and Acquisition Professional Service

Background

The Augusta Engineering Department is seeking proposals for on-call property appraisal and acquisition services due to an increase in road improvement, drainage improvement, and infrastructure maintenance projects. The contract aims to support various SPLOST and TIA projects requiring right-of-way acquisitions. The selected firm must be certified as a General Appraiser by the State of Georgia and pre-qualified by GDOT.

Work Details

The services required under this contract include: 1. Appraising and acquiring parcels and easements; 2. Ensuring that the applicant performing appraisal services is a Certified General Appraiser; 3. The Acquisition Agent or Negotiator must be a Licensed Real Estate Agent; 4. All appraisals must comply with USPAP requirements, including necessary reports and data books; 5. Work will be executed under separate Task Orders with cost proposals submitted per Task Order, including parcel-by-parcel pricing, total costs, and completion timelines.

Period of Performance

The contract will last for one year with an option to renew for four additional one-year terms.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed in Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of certification as a General Appraiser by the State of Georgia, GDOT pre-qualification, and submit a fee proposal in a separately sealed envelope. A 5% bid bond is required for award consideration.
