The Ghost Town Trail 2024 Storm Repairs (Twin Rocks Trail Repairs) Project

Background

The Ghost Town Trail 2024 Storm Repairs project is initiated by the Cambria County Conservation & Recreation Authority. It aims to restore and repair sections of the Ghost Town Trail in Jackson Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. This project addresses storm damage and improves infrastructure for recreational use. Work Details

The contract involves the construction and installation of various components including: - Approximately 8,000 feet of trail restoration - Installation of stormwater pipe (including 24" HDPE and 15" HDPE) - Ditch cleaning (1,190 feet) - Erosion and sedimentation controls

Mobilization/Demobilization/General Contract Provisions

- Furnishing and installation of wooden split rail fence (40 LF) - Native soil embankment restoration (534 CY and 54 CY) All work must include necessary materials, equipment, supplies, and labor as specified in the contract documents.

Period of Performance

The successful bidder is required to complete all work by October 31, 2026. Work will commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and must be completed within 90 days from that date.

Place of Performance

The project will be performed in Jackson Township, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with state anti-bid-rigging regulations and submit a non-collusion affidavit with their bid. They are required to provide evidence of insurance coverage as specified in the contract documents. Bidders must have completed similar projects in scope and character. Additionally, they must adhere to Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates and comply with the Steel Procurement Act.
