2026 Road Paving Program

Background

West Whiteland Township, located at 101 Commerce Drive, Exton PA 19341, is soliciting bids for the 2026 Roadway Paving Program. The program aims to enhance the township's infrastructure by paving six roads totaling approximately 19,500 square yards. This initiative aligns with the township's mission to maintain and improve public roadways for community safety and accessibility.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: - Milling of bituminous asphalt and paving with Superpave Asphalt Mixture over approximately 19,500 square yards. - Line painting of single white and double yellow centerlines, along with additional roadway legends. - An add alternate includes retrofitting four ADA ramps for compliance with ADA standards. - All work must adhere to prevailing wage laws, and certified payrolls must be submitted.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed by September 30th, 2026. Liquidated damages of $885 per calendar day will apply for any unfinished work past this date.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed on six designated roads within West Whiteland Township, Exton, Pennsylvania.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a certified check or bid bond of 10% of the base bid amount, a completed Non-Collusion Affidavit, General Bidder Information form, proof of insurance as specified in the Contractor Services Agreement, a Worker’s Comp Affidavit, a Certification Insurance Form, a list of subcontractors, and both payment and performance bonds equal to 100% of the bid amount within ten days of award. Additionally, bidders must comply with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act regarding non-discrimination.
