Background

The City of Columbus is seeking to establish a Universal Term Contract for the purchase of Aluminum Sheeting Material and Sign Blanks. This contract aims to support the fabrication of traffic signs and street name signs, aligning with the city's mission to maintain effective public signage. The proposed contract will be in effect through June 30, 2024.

Work Details

The successful bidder will provide and deliver various types of aluminum sheeting and sign blanks, specifically: - 0.030” Thick aluminum sheeting - 0.063” Thick aluminum sign blanks - 0.080” Thick aluminum sign blanks - 0.100” Thick aluminum sign blanks Additionally, recycled aluminum Series 3000 sheeting is required in the same thicknesses. Bidders must demonstrate experience with these materials over the past five years and provide references from at least four similar contracts. The materials must meet or exceed all relevant safety guidelines and standards, including OSHA regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective from September 1, 2026, through September 30, 2029, with an option for annual extension subject to mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

Delivery will be made to the City of Columbus at the Division of Traffic Management, James V. Musick Traffic Engineering Facility, located at 1820 East Seventeenth Ave., Columbus, OH 43219.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide documentation of their experience with aluminum sheeting and warranty services for the past five years. They are also required to submit references from at least four customers with similar contracts. All subcontractors used must have valid contract compliance certification.
