Background MSU MilTech is seeking commercial shipping services to transport a vessel from Southern California to Okinawa, Japan, in support of Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory exercise activities. This contract aims to facilitate the logistical needs of the Marine Corps during their exercise activities, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of essential equipment. Work Details The contractor will provide commercial shipping services specifically for transporting a vessel. The scope includes all necessary logistics and handling required for the safe and secure transport of the vessel from Southern California to Okinawa, Japan. Bidders are required to provide pricing for Vessel Transportation Services as per the Scope of Work and Contract outlined in the Buyer Attachments. Period of Performance The contract period is expected to commence upon award and will be completed by April 30, 2026. Place of Performance The services will be performed with the vessel being transported from Southern California to Okinawa, Japan. Bidder Requirements Bidders must comply with various prerequisites including reviewing and accepting the University's instructions for submitting a bid, insurance requirements, and contract terms. Additionally, bidders must provide a current W-9 Form and confirm their ability to perform all requirements outlined in the Scope of Work. They may also need to submit references that have used similar services within the last three years. If selected, bidders are required to execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
