Background The United States Forest Service (USFS) is issuing a synopsis for a Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract focused on engineering services related to grasslands and forests across multiple states including Montana, Idaho, North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and Wyoming. The goal of this contract is to obtain structural, civil, water, and wastewater design and inspection services for components of USFS transportation systems and infrastructure on USFS recreation and administrative sites. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for various tasks including: obtaining structural, civil, water, and wastewater design and inspection services; conducting design, field inspection, surveying, load rating, or engineering review for large and small road bridges, trail bridges, aquatic organism passage structures and associated stream work; designing culverts, bottomless arches, retaining walls; working with structures made of timber, steel, concrete, masonry, and earthen fill; providing consultant services for snow sheds, shelters, campgrounds; designing water distribution systems; creating stormwater systems or wastewater systems. Additionally, the contractor may provide design services for minor facility maintenance or repairs associated with USFS offices and other buildings. Major construction or reconstruction of Forest Service office buildings is excluded from this requirement. Period of Performance Five (5) year period of performance from the award date until 2031. Place of Performance National Forests and grasslands within Montana (MT), Idaho (ID), North Dakota (ND), South Dakota (SD), Colorado (CO), Kansas (KS), Nebraska (NE), and Wyoming.
