Background The Bureau of Reclamation, part of the U.S. Department of the Interior, is responsible for water and power management and project operations. The Clark Canyon Dam, located approximately 20 miles southwest of Dillon, Montana, plays a crucial role in power supply, flood control, and irrigation in the upper Missouri Basin. This contract aims to manage invasive species on federal lands surrounding the Clark Canyon Dam and Reservoir to prevent the spread of noxious weeds as mandated by federal and state laws. Work Details The contractor will provide invasive species treatment services, including aerial application, ground application, and integrated pest management techniques for approximately 200+ acres annually on Reclamation-owned land around Clark Canyon Dam and Reservoir. Services must comply with Montana State law regarding noxious weed management. The contractor is responsible for all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, incidental services, and supervision necessary for effective weed control. Specific tasks include: - Responding to noxious weed complaints within a prescribed timeframe (currently 10 days). - Maintaining a Quality Control Plan (QCP) to ensure service quality and compliance with contract requirements. - Providing a written General Work Plan detailing methods for weed control treatment. - Ensuring applicators have valid professional certifications before starting work. - Developing a spill contingency plan prior to pesticide application.
