Background The Fairbanks North Star Borough is seeking qualified contractors to submit electronic bids for the FNSB Building Demolition Projects. The goal of this contract is to demolish five vacant restroom facilities and other structures across three additional locations in Fairbanks, Alaska. The estimated value of the work ranges from $750,000 to $2,500,000. Work Details The work includes the demolition of five abandoned restroom facilities located at: 1. North Pole 5th Avenue Park 2. Gillam Park 3. Growden Park (Large and Small restrooms) 4. Kiwanis Park 5. Nussbaumer Park 6. Big Dipper Kiwanis Field Media Platform 7. Two Rivers Recreation Area Restroom 8. Wescott Zamboni Building, Ice Rink, & Fencing. Each site will require restoration of the area post-demolition as indicated in the contract documents. Period of Performance The contract period will commence upon receipt of a written 'Notice to Proceed' from the Owner and must be completed within the time limits set forth in the specifications. Place of Performance The work will be performed at various locations within Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have a valid contractor's registration with the Alaska Department of Commerce and provide a bid bond or certified check equal to at least 5% of their bid amount. Bidders are also required to submit a Non-Collusion Affidavit and acknowledge all addenda issued.
