Background

The Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) was established by the Alaska Legislature in 1976 with the mission to reduce the cost of energy in Alaska. AEA has developed the state's energy resources and currently owns and manages several hydroelectric projects, including the Bradley Lake Hydroelectric Project, which is the largest facility in Alaska with a nominal rating of 120 MW. The project is located near Kachemak Bay and has been operational since 1991. The Bradley Project Management Committee (BPMC) oversees its management and operations, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and financial accountability.

Work Details

The contractor will provide a special-purpose financial statement audit of the operating and revenue funds of the BPMC, adhering to accounting requirements established under the Alaska Energy Authority Power Revenue Bond Resolution. The scope includes performing audit services and issuing special-purpose financial statement audit reports for the Bradley Lake Hydroelectric Project's operating and revenue funds. Deliverables include seven copies of the audit report along with an electronic version. Audit fieldwork is scheduled for completion during the first week of November each year, with final reports due by the first week of December.

Period of Performance

The initial contract term is one year, beginning September 2026, with options to renew for two additional one-year periods, potentially extending total performance up to three years.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at the Bradley Lake Hydroelectric Project site located approximately 27 miles from Homer, Alaska.
