Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing a combined synopsis/solicitation for refuse services at Mammoth Cave National Park. The goal of this contract is to provide all necessary personnel, materials, and equipment for parkwide refuse collection and disposal. The contract will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price type. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for: 1. Furnishing all materials, equipment, transportation, and labor necessary to collect refuse according to the specified pick-up schedule. 2. Disposing of collected refuse at a state-licensed sanitary landfill located outside of Mammoth Cave National Park. 3. Providing on-site supervision to ensure adequate performance of the work. 4. Supplying sufficient qualified personnel to perform the work efficiently, including maintaining an updated list of all employees and subcontractors working within the park. 5. Ensuring that all personnel are physically capable of performing their assigned tasks and that those operating contractor-owned equipment possess valid Kentucky motor vehicle operator's licenses appropriate for their vehicles. Period of Performance Base period from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027; followed by three option years each lasting from October 1 to September 30 of the subsequent years (2028, 2029, and 2030).
