1. Introduction and Purpose The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)/ NASA Shared Service Center (NSSC) is hereby soliciting information from potential sources for one (1) Medium Voltage (MV) Powerhouse. This is a Sources Sought only. NASA is seeking capability statements from all interested parties, including all socioeconomic categories of Small Businesses, for the purposes of determining the appropriate level of competition and/or small business subcontracting goals. 2. Draft Technical Specifications Interested firms must demonstrate the capability to meet or exceed the following draft documents: - Attachment 01 Draft MEDIUM VOLTAGE POWER HOUSE STATEMEMENT OF WORK - Attachment 02 - Draft MV PWRHS Concept - Attachment 03 - Draft SPECIFICATION MV Powerhouse 3. Submission Requirements Vendors having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are invited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references. Summary: Background The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) through the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) is soliciting information for a Medium Voltage (MV) Powerhouse. This Sources Sought aims to gather capability statements from interested parties, including all socioeconomic categories of Small Businesses, to determine the appropriate level of competition and small business subcontracting goals. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the procurement, design, construction, equipment delivery, performance, testing, and documentation requirements for the Medium Voltage Powerhouse. It will support the Liquid Nitrogen Air Separation Unit (LNASU) electrical infrastructure at NASA Stennis Space Center in Hancock County, MS. The Powerhouse will provide electrical distribution, control systems, HVAC systems, grounding, lighting, and ancillary support systems. The structure must be a fully enclosed, factory-fabricated, transportable steel building designed to house and protect the complete MV electrical distribution system and HVAC equipment. Key specifications include: - Dimensions: Length 38 ft, Width 15 ft, Height 10.5 ft - Total system weight: 66,301 lbs - Wind Load: 146 mph - Temperature Range: Interior 65 °F min – 80 °F max - Lighting requirement: 30 foot-candles at 3 ft above floor with a color temperature of 4000 K. - Compliance with NEC (NFPA 70), UL standards (508A and 1598), and applicable International Building Code criteria. Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the construction projects will be performed (if provided). Place of Performance NASA Stennis Space Center, Hancock County, MS. Bidder Requirements Bidders must demonstrate capability through documentation including company profile and UEI number. They should confirm their product as a 'Commercial Product' and provide a standard warranty of at least 24 months. Bidders are also required to provide details regarding their average project duration and quote validity period.
