Background The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, is issuing this solicitation for aerial herbicide spraying at the Arkabutla Lake Project. The goal is to control and eradicate unwanted woody aquatic vegetation, including species such as Water Elm, Button Bush, and Black Willow. This procurement is conducted under a 100% Small Business Set Aside. Work Details The contractor will perform aerial spraying for herbicide application over 5,500 acres at Arkabutla Lake. All applications must comply with local, state, and federal laws regarding safety and licensing. The contractor must ensure that a minimum of 90% of identified infestations receive treatment with at least 90% coverage by foliar spray. If this coverage is not achieved within 2-3 weeks post-application, the contractor is responsible for re-applying the treatment at their expense. Herbicides used must include Roundup Custom (EPA Reg. No. 524-343) and 4 Pound Arsenal (EPA Reg. No. 241-299), among others approved for aquatic use.
