Background The T-6 Flightline shacks are critical for maintenance operations of the T-6 Texan II aircraft, used in Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT). These facilities support shift changes, restroom needs, maintenance briefings, and administrative tasks for maintainers. The buildings have deteriorated significantly, necessitating repairs to enhance the working conditions for personnel. Work Details The contractor is required to repair four T-6 Flightline Shacks (Buildings 247, 628, 629, and 633). The scope of work includes: restoring plumbing systems and fixtures; upgrading electrical systems; improving heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems; and performing interior repairs such as repainting, replacing damaged doors, and fixing ceiling panels. All work must comply with the Statement of Work (SOW), Concept Design Drawings, and relevant Air Force requirements and codes. Period of Performance The contractor shall commence work within 10 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed and is expected to complete all tasks within 330 calendar days. Place of Performance Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail) This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent and/or closely related prior contract based on Heritage Construction’s work under FA302221D0001 at Columbus AFB, MS, which includes “repair of T-6 flightline shacks” and related facility renovations involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and interior finishes. In addition, Heritage received a more directly aligned task order (FA302221D0001-FA302224F0022) valued at $261,005 for repairs to dilapidated T-6 flightline shacks (Buildings 238, 240, 242, and 244) with scope covering plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and interior repairs. The current requirement similarly targets deteriorated T-6 flightline shacks (Buildings 247, 628, 629, and 633) with the same types of systems and interior improvements, suggesting continuity of the same facility repair effort.
