Background The contract is issued by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary. The mission of this agency is to protect and conserve marine resources and habitats. The goal of this contract is to replace and repair HVAC systems in the Visitor Center and Learning Center to ensure safety, proper ventilation, and compliance with OSHA standards. Work Details The contractor is required to perform the following tasks under the contract: 1. Disassemble and dispose of the existing ducted split air conditioning system for the Learning Center offices. 2. Provide and install two Bosch BOVA-60RXB-M15S / BIVA-48RXB-M15X, 4 ton, 15 SEER ducted split AC systems or equivalent, connecting to existing infrastructure. 3. Ensure service areas include Learning Center side offices, IT server room, and storage room are suitable for OSHA-compliant office conditions. 4. Install ductwork for the storage room connected to the new system while mitigating sand intrusion from northerly trade winds. 5. Conduct post-installation monitoring of the system to ensure consistent operation. The scope includes all materials, labor, shipping, and necessary work for operational compliance. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from June 8, 2026, to December 7, 2026. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at the NOAA Facility located at 726 S. Kihei Rd, Kihei, Hawaii on the island of Maui.
