Work Details

The contractor will manually remove invasive mangrove vegetation from designated sections of Ka‘elepulu Stream without construction or heavy machinery. Key tasks include: 1) Conducting a site assessment and developing a work plan; 2) Engaging community groups in the planning and implementation process; 3) Removing mangroves while adhering to environmental best practices; 4) Documenting removal progress; 5) Implementing stabilization measures to prevent erosion; 6) Conducting community engagement activities and training volunteers; 7) Submitting quarterly progress reports and a final project report detailing activities, community benefits, and recommendations for sustainable stewardship.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed over a period of twenty-four (24) months from the Notice to Proceed (NTP), with specific phases outlined for site assessment, mangrove removal, community engagement, and post-removal stabilization.

Place of Performance

The work will be conducted within a 15-acre area of CITY-owned land along Ka‘elepulu Stream in Kailua, Hawaii.

Bidder Requirements
