Office Moving Services

Background

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) are seeking bids for Office Moving Services under the authority of California Public Contract Code Section 10340. The goal of this contract is to provide comprehensive office moving services, including modular furniture installation, to support the operational needs of CDCR/CCHCS.

Work Details

The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, non-consumable supplies, transportation, equipment, and any other necessary items to perform office moving services. This includes: - Moving staff and their belongings. - Installation of modular furniture. - All work must comply with prevailing wage rates as specified in Exhibit F. - The contractor must provide a detailed rate sheet for various staff moves and pick-up/delivery services as outlined in the solicitation.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on July 1, 2026 (or upon approval, whichever is later) and will continue through June 30, 2029.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed within various regions including Sacramento, Central Valley, Kern County, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and Orange County.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must meet several qualifications including: 1. A minimum of three years’ experience in office moving services. 2. Possession of a current Class A commercial Driver’s License and a valid Class C California Driver’s License. 3. A State of California contractors Limited Specialty Classification license or D-34 Prefabrication Equipment Contractor license. 4. A United States Department of Transportation Number and Motor Carrier Permit (MCP). 5. A household mover’s permit issued by the California Bureau of Household Goods and Services. 6. Bidders must also demonstrate DVBE participation of at least 3%.
