Background

The Clovis Unified School District (CUSD) is issuing Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 3077 for Campus Catering - Produce. Work Details

The successful bidder will be responsible for providing and delivering fresh produce to various receiving sites within the district. The produce must meet current Federal and State nutrition guidelines for the School Breakfast Program and National School Lunch Program. Bidders must provide pricing based on cost per case and cost per unit, indicating any differences in case quantity in the comments section. The district reserves the right to buy local products when available, aiming for at least 40% of produce to be locally sourced from within a 350-mile radius or within California. The proposal must include compliance with health guidelines, quality control measures, and adherence to packaging standards that ensure safe transportation of food items.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to last for one year, with potential renewals based on performance and pricing adjustments as needed.

Deliveries will be made to various schools within the Clovis Unified School District located in Clovis, California.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must register with OpenGov to participate in this bid. They are required to submit a Noncollusion Declaration, Certification of Primary Participant Regarding Debarment, Suspension, and other Responsibility Matters, and a Drug-Free Workplace Certification upon execution of the agreement. Additionally, bidders must comply with criminal records checks for employees who may have contact with students.
