Airplane Lease (Somerset CC)

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) is issuing this Invitation to Bid to establish a contract for an airplane lease for Somerset Community College. KCTCS aims to provide accessible and affordable education through various programs. The leased airplane will support its operational needs and is to be delivered to Lake Cumberland Regional Airport in Somerset, KY.

Work Details

The contract involves leasing an aircraft that meets specific requirements: - Aircraft model: 1967 Cessna 172H - Total Time Airframe (TTAF): No more than 4,269 hours - Since Major Overhaul (SMOH): No more than 300 hours - Aircraft must be fully airworthy and FAA-compliant at delivery - No liens or encumbrances on the aircraft - Interior: Like new leather interior; exterior: like new paint; fresh annual inspection in June 2026 or later. - Avionics must include:

- Additional equipment includes a Hobbs hour reading meter actuated by engine oil pressure gauge. The successful bidder must ensure delivery by July 1, 2026.

Period of Performance

The initial term of the contract will be for two years from the execution date with one-year renewal options upon mutual agreement. The successful bidder is expected to deliver the airplane by June 15, 2026.

Place of Performance

The airplane will be delivered to Lake Cumberland Regional Airport, located at 500 W O. Newell Dr., Somerset, KY 42503.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all specifications outlined in the Invitation to Bid. They are required to submit pricing that includes all costs associated with the lease and ensure they are authorized to conduct business in Kentucky. Bidders should not include their own terms or conditions that conflict with KCTCS's requirements.
