Fencing, Gate Operators and Handrails Installed

Background

The Pinellas County School District is seeking bids for the installation of fencing, gate operators, and handrails. The goal of this contract is to enhance the safety and security of school facilities by providing necessary fencing solutions. The contract will be executed in accordance with the State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF) as part of the Florida Building Code.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the installation of fencing, gate operators, and handrails as specified in project drawings. The contractor must hold a Florida Fence Erection Installation License. The scope includes: - Removal of old fencing - Installation of various types of galvanized and black vinyl coated posts and rails in specified lengths - Installation of cantilever gates in various sizes and configurations - Provision of replacement parts for at least five years post-installation - Compliance with all relevant safety and building codes.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence on August 1, 2026, and end on July 31, 2027. There are options for two one-year renewals based on mutual consent.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at various locations within the Pinellas County School District.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide documented evidence of a business license under the same legal entity for five continuous years prior to this bid. They must also demonstrate experience with at least five comparable projects within the last five years. All subcontractors must have required licensing and meet background screening requirements as per Florida Statute F.S.255.0515.
